I would like to be known for being a perfect woman. A beautiful wife and homemaker, as well as a loving mom and professional businesswomen.

As Christians we should be victorious in our lives, but victory in Jesus is accepting what He has given us to do. Running in the Christian race for Him until He takes us home. Not what we feel our agenda is in life.
I was given a poem when I graduated business school over twenty years ago that stated their version of a successful person.
“Who loves life and lives it to the fullest: who has discovered and shared the strengths and talents that are uniquely their own; who puts their best into each task and leaves each situation better than they found it; who seeks and finds that which is beautiful in all people…and all things; whose heart is full of love and warm with compassion; who has found joy in living and peace within themselves.” (Barbara Burrow)
If I were to give this back to the Lord and consider what His mission for me is and His view of success in my life, I would have to say….
Success in the Lord is…

A fast and quick dinner to make any night of the week when you just don’t feel it!
I came home tonight after a long week of working and I just didn’t feel like cooking. We also have already overspent out eating out funds….so what is a girl to do. Get out the Instant Pot and start cooking.
This recipe is fast, fun and oh so yummy. Here is my version along with the original recipe I found on Jamerrill Stewart website. I hope you enjoy…leave me a comment below if you make it and how you like it!
1 lb. of ground beef
1 box of elbow macaroni
1 1/2 cups of cheddar cheese
1/2 cup of mozzarella cheese
2 tbsp. spoons of Worchester sauce
1 tbsp. spoon of brown mustard
1/2 cups of sour cream
1 tsp of garlic
1 tsp of garlic butter
1 tbsp. spoon of dried onions
6 cups of beef broth
1/4 cup of tomato paste
brown ground beef on sauté mode on your instant pot with the garlic butter and dried onions
in a separate bowl mix the beef broth, tomato paste, garlic, and Worchester sauce together
when beef is done cooking turn instant pot off
now add the box of macaroni over the meet ( do not stir)
now poor mixture over the macaroni ( do not stir)
place lid on instant pot ( venting not sealing) and then put on manual for 5 minutes
after 5 minutes do a quick release and take the lid off

Sometimes breakfast can be the worst meal for me to make. I never quite know what to make and prepare. This recipe is simple, affordable, easy and oh so yummy. It is also a go to meal and or snack for anytime and any age. It is a favorite in our home. #amish baked oatmeal
3 cups of oatmeal
1 1/2 cups of whole milk, skim milk, almond milk or the best is oat milk
1/2 brown sugar, while sugar, honey, molasses, or maple syrup
1/2 cup of butter melted
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/1/2 vanilla or almond extract
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
mix all dry together first ( saved the sugar for the wet ingredients if you are using a syrup etc…)
then add butter and milk and mix in with the dry
now add the eggs and extract of your choice as well (and sweetener if in a liquid form)
pour mixture into a greased 8×8 or a 9×13 baking dish
place baking dish into a preheated oven on 350 degrees for 25 minutes
The Freezer and Fridge is full and yet you have nothing to eat? Let’s roll up our sleeves and clean out the freezer, pantry and fridge and see what we can come up for with meals for 2 weeks only using our bits and pieces. Money is tight, some foods are hard to find and we want to be as frugal and budget friendly as we can to help us stay on track. Also….did you know that you can get some foods sent to you via UPS with free shipping from Walmart. I have a small Walmart Haul with a few fillers.
Right now we are in weird times and everyone is scrambling to find budget friendly meals, and resources for these meals as well. Many people have not had to cook so many meals at home until this virus hit us. On top of having to cook the meals we are now finding that our resources are limited for meats, rice etc. Here are two books I can recommend not only give you a budget friendly recipes but also for alternatives for when you can’t find what you need.
I’ve included a great recipe for a yummy cake. This recipe is basic ingredients that you have normally at home and all you do is change up the extract to create a different flavor every time you make it. I hope you enjoy the show me a cake as much as I do. It’s moist and delicious and great deserve as a snack or dessert at any time. Be creative with the icings and toppings that you use for a different dessert every time you serve it.
This has always been something that I have wanted to do. I think overall I have had small sections of my kitchen and/or a closet or two with some pantry items. But over all I have never had a full and complete set up for a pantry.
Well, now fast forward. After 30+ years of marriage and raising a family, I decided in January of 2020 to create one. First of all, I did not have the time to create a pantry and the space for one, or at least I didn’t think I did. Now we find ourselves with more time then we realized we would have, and a situation that makes us realize that a pantry is so needed.
I have to admit that I had a rude awakening, along with a bit of panic shopping. I did not think that I had certain things on hand, so I went right out and spent funds from our budget to accommodate what I thought we needed. After we had all these goodies piled on our dining room table, it was time to now set up our pantry. So, we gathered all our items from every little spot that we stored things in, and brought them to one place in our home. Then we cleaned out our one and only closet to make a pantry where we could store everything. After setting it up and putting things away, we realized that we had spent money on things we already had, and had items in large amounts (like extra cans of tomatoes that we did not need).
This taught me a BIG lesson in life, and one that I will hold onto for a very long time. I wasted money on things I don’t need, I am using up space that I could use for something else, and I probably wasted time in buying these items too. Now it is time to make a change! I have a pantry set up with an inventory list of my staples, how many I want on hand, and then how many I need to buy for the next time.

These are trying times in our country; it is a good time to reevaluate what we do and why and how to make things better for ourselves.
