Sometimes breakfast can be the worst meal for me to make. I never quite know what to make and prepare. This recipe is simple, affordable, easy and oh so yummy. It is also a go to meal and or snack for anytime and any age. It is a favorite in our home. #amish baked oatmeal
- 3 cups of oatmeal
- 1 1/2 cups of whole milk, skim milk, almond milk or the best is oat milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 brown sugar, while sugar, honey, molasses, or maple syrup
- 1/2 cup of butter melted
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/1/2 vanilla or almond extract
- 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp salt
- mix all dry together first ( saved the sugar for the wet ingredients if you are using a syrup etc…)
- then add butter and milk and mix in with the dry
- now add the eggs and extract of your choice as well (and sweetener if in a liquid form)
- pour mixture into a greased 8×8 or a 9×13 baking dish
- place baking dish into a preheated oven on 350 degrees for 25 minutes
- best served warm
